Paul's Sturgis Chop
"04"
Here are the pics for the Chopper-X prototype. It is
based on our PB2-CHX
frame. Paul raised the ride height .750" and it
has a 48 degree rake with 6
inches of up-stretch and a 2 inch forward stretch. Add a
set of our 6
degree triple trees and +16 tubes to the Deuce fork and
this becomes one long
chopper!
All the sheet metal is one-off starting with a fantastic
new
Zombie tank which fits this super radical frame
perfectly. The new billet
Ali-Baba oil bag has a great retro feel and matches our
other Ali-Baba products such
as Grips/ Pegs/ Risers/ Points and Derby covers to name
a few. The rear
fender was stretched over a 250 tire and then scalloped
and has some
really cool 3-D metal work done on the tips. The front
fender has been left off
for that nostalgic chopper feel but a drilled tweak bar
has been installed to
keep that long fork stiff and responsive.
The handmade Z-bars have more pullback than our standard
off the shelf parts and they have some really radical
bends to them. The seat
features side pockets and a butt crack molding.
The new PYO GT billet wheels are bad ass and are set up
for a custom RC Comp Driveside brake kit to match the GT
wheels 18 x 8.5 rear and a 21 out
front. They even have these really bitchen wavy rotors
and a matching billet rear pulley. The new pipes are our
"Skirt Blowers" w/ optional velocity stack
tips. The TC-88 engine
has been punched out to 95 cu inches and the cylinders
have been powder coated black to give the engine a
nostalgic look. The entire bike has received a Zinc
Nitrate plating and then brushed effect that totally
sets off the metallic gun metal paint that Paul
flattened to achieve a truly antique look. Then Ron
"Superman" Hernandez pulled out his cape and did an
amazing striping job on this completely one-off
creation, to truly make this unique chopper one of a
kind.
